Sometimes people think they have information about a cold case but they do not know if it would be helpful or useful. It often isn't even clear that the information is related or maybe it seems like it is irrelevant or too minor to matter.

The truth is, we don't know how relevant or important a detail is until we see all of the evidence and have all of the information. The colour of a car driving by, the fact that a light was on in a victim's house at a certain time or a piece of trash that you found on the sidewalk near where a person was last seen - they might all be details that could break a cold case.

In some cases, people are too afraid to call the police. Maybe they don't want to waste their time. For others, they have had experiences with police that make them uncomfortable reaching out. Still, in some cases, we receive tips from people who tried to give the information to police only to have it disgarded or not followed up.

At NCCI we think every detail is important and we know that cold cases are primarily solved when someone comes forward with information. Whether you are too scared to go to the police, or just don't know what to do. We are here to help answer your questions and make it easier to come forward. We can help give you information about lawyers, we can give you legal information (not advice) and we also help give your information to the police if you are too afraid or uncomfortable..
